Game 2 Baltimore 1 ChiSox 0
WP: Gene Brabender (2-2, 5.88 ERA)
LP: Joe Horlen (1-4, 1.91 ERA)
SV: Eddie Watt (1)
MVP: Gene Brabender
Baltimore has not won two games in a row, from the same team, since April 27-28 (Boston). But costly errors by Chicago (3) helped the Orioles achieve this in a 1-0 win over the White Sox. The only run of the game came in the 3rd inning when Andy Etchebarren reached on an error by 3B Pete Ward, and after being bunted over to 2nd, found his way home when pitcher Joe Horlen would throw a ball into the 1st row of the seats on what should have been a routine ground out. Gene Brabender threw a complete 9 innings, striking out 8, to earn his 2nd win of the season. Sox Joe Horlen, who must have the worst run support in the league, went 7 innings, giving up 0 earned runs in the loss.
