Game 1 at Fulton County Stadium,
Hank Aaron smacked his 8th homerun of the year in the first inning and it held up as the Braves took the first game of the series. Ken Johnson and Don Drysdale pitched scoreless frames the rest of the way. Johnson improved to 2-1 on the young season as he surrendered 4 hits, no walks and struck out 8 on the day. Braves 1....Dodgers 0.
Game 2 at Fulton County Stadium,
Pat Jarvis and Claude Osteen dueled mightily. However it was Jarvis's bat that proved decisive as he singled in two runs in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Braves 4....Dodgers 2.
Game 3 at Fulton County Stadium,
Willie Davis hit a 2 run homerun in the third and LA added two more runs in the seventh to help You Don Sutton to win his second victory of the season to even his record overall to 2-2. Dick Kelley pitched well for Atlanta but fell to 1-3. Atlanta made the game interesting with a 3 run rally in the seventh spear headed by a long blast by Bob Tillman that just missed by inches of going out. Dodgers 4...Braves 3.
