Game 1,
The Braves won the game in extra innings when Felipe Alou scored when pitcher Danny Coombs fumbled a ground ball back to the mound. Alou had a big day as he banged out two hits and drove in three runs in the victory. Braves 6....Astros 5.
Game 2,
Another close game however this one was settled in regulation. Deron Johnson crushed his 4th homerun of the year off Mike Cuellar to lead the Bravos passed Houston. Ron Reed went the distance to earn his 5th victory of the year. Cuellar falls to 0-2 and rumors abound that he may be traded to the Orioles. Braves 4....Astros 3.
